For specific applications or the bridge a long leadtime it can be an option to modify a wedge. NDT Plastics can add pivot holes, irrigation channels and curvature to an existing wedge. NDT Plastics can furthermore change the wedge angle and position of helix position to hold the Phased Array probe. For TOFD wedges a frequently done modification is to shorten the wedges to be able to create a shorter index.
